LITTLECROW TRADING POST COPYRIGHT VIOLATION POLICY

WE ACTIVELY PURSUE PROSECUTION OF ANYONE VIOLATING COPYRIGHT LAWS
BY USING OUR WEBSITE CONTENT WITHOUT PERMISSION

We know that people download photos from our website for inspiration & reference. Children download content for reports. Powwow committees print excerpts in powwow programs. People like to print or post photos we've taken of themselves or family & friends on their Facebook or MyPage accounts (we'll be posting more powwow photos). Don't ruin it for everyone & force us to prevent photo downloading for personal & educational use. Email us for permission for any legitimate non-commercial use. We may have even more photos that you'll want, we can't post everything.

IF YOU STEAL OUR WEBSITE CONTENT & POST IT ON A COMMERCIAL WEBSITE, someone will find it & report it to us.
We don't have a problem prosecuting individuals & businesses who steal our intellectual property for profit.

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW IF YOU ARE A VICTIM
OF COPYRIGHT LAW VIOLATIONS OR INTERNET FRAUD

If you are a victim of copyright violation, download a copy of the Digital Millennium Copyright Act of 1998. This legislation provides quick relief for victims of copyright infringement, without a lengthy & expensive legal battle. But there are also risks if you shut down an innocent website host or business while pursuing your offender. It's best to consult an attorney before taking any legal action on your own. Download this at:

Report "Internet Crimes" online at the Internet Crimes Complaint Center, called IC3.gov Copyright violations & internet fraud ARE CRIMES! Your complaint will be reviewed & referred to the proper authorities. You can also call local or regional FBI offices. http://www.ic3.gov

Crimes which are committed across state lines are also investigated by the Federal Trade Commission. http://www.ftc.gov

If a crime is committed using the US Postal Service to receive payments or ship merchandise, the US Postal Service will investigate. http://www.usps.com

Consumer Fraud is investigated by various state law enforcement agencies, depending on the state. Try your State Attorney General, District Attorney, or or local Prosecuting Attorney. Some states use different names for these positions.

Report unethical businesses to the Better Business Bureau in your area. They may be able to help you. http://welcome.bbb.org

Violations of Federal Indian Arts & Crafts Legislation are actively pursued by the Department of Interior.
Go to their website to learn about the law, or to report a fraud. http://www.doi.gov/iacb/act.html

Civil relief & punative (punishing) damages can be pursued using a private attorney or law firm. Not all attorneys handle copyright or internet law, so use the legal database searches to find an attorney who handles your type of case.
